Here Are Some Great Halloween Party Food Ideas!
Whether you’re having a Halloween dinner party, a dance, a Halloween birthday party, or whatever else, it’s a good idea to have some food or snacks around, along with beverages too of course. We’ve got another page with some recipes you can make for Halloween party food, and a page all about Halloween drinks and you’ll find links to them in the resources section at the end.
Now, let’s look at some food ideas for a Halloween party!
You’ll first have to decide what kind of food is appropriate for your party. A good rule of thumb is that if it starts at 8 or later, people won’t be expecting you to feed them dinner, and some snacks will suffice. If you do want to serve a later dinner, just make sure you mention it when you invite people just so everyone doesn’t show up having already eaten something.
If you’re going the snack route, it’s nice to try to avoid having too much candy. A bowl of candy corn can add to the theme of the party, but around this time of year most people are candied-out and a bunch of sugar comas can kill a party pretty quickly!
Candy Corn Pizza
If you want to serve some warm food that will agree with most guests, why not pizza? Well, that’s not very Halloween-ish, is it? It can be if you make candy corn pizza. It’s really easy. Use dough (Make it yourself, store bought, whatever you prefer!).
Using alfredo sauce helps it look more like candy corn since it doesn’t stand out like the red spots from marinara would. Now, put down a layer of mozzarella cheese – but also a thin ring of cheddar cheese around the outside, yet still within the crust.
Once the pizza is baked, you can slice it into as many slices as you would like, and they will all resemble pieces of candy corn. So you get to stick to the Halloween theme, and it’s rare for anyone who likes pizza to dislike a plain cheese pizza – it’s always a safer bet than when you start to add in more toppings, so it’s a win-win kind of recipe!
Spooky Soda
If you get some see-through glasses or tumblers, having two drink choices – orange soda and cola – and you pour them side by side alternating by color, it gives a cool halloween-y look. You can use something green, like lime soda, instead of cola depending on the color scheme you’re going with. A healthier version of this drink is to make some kind of green shakes, and to use orange juice or orange shakes. There are plenty of recipes for different types of shakes, so just use whichever ones you like the best that also give a good color.
